Yoruba Nurses in the Diaspora are returning to Nigeria to provide free healthcare services in Ogun State.
The outreach is scheduled for 16 December 2025 under the theme “Gateway to a Healthy Life”.
Oluwakemi Abiodun Soyebi, founder of Shokesta Development and a partner in the initiative, announced the details in Ibadan on Saturday.
The program, organised by Yoruba Nurses of North America, will offer residents of Remo, Yewa, Egbaland and Ijebu communities the following free services:
- Blood pressure screening
- Blood glucose testing
- Visual acuity checks
- Breast cancer awareness sessions
- Basic mental health education
- Malaria prevention training
- Infection control guidance
Nurses from the diaspora will conduct patient consultations, screenings and health counselling throughout the event.
Soyebi said the outreach targets people with limited access to regular healthcare and aims to detect conditions early while promoting prevention.
The nurses are volunteering their time and expertise to support communities in their home state.
