Good news for every nurse, midwife, and nursing school in Nigeria!

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has officially opened its new online portal.

The address is simple: https://myportal.nmcn.gov.ng

From today, almost everything you do with NMCN will happen on this new website.

What Can You Do on the New Portal?

  • Apply for indexing (new students)
  • Register for professional exams
  • Get your first licence
  • Renew your licence
  • Verify certificates
  • Make all payments
  • Change your name on the register

No more long queues or paper stress – everything is now online and faster.

Who Must Start Using It Right Away?

  • Every nursing and midwifery school
  • Every new student
  • Every nurse renewing licence
  • Every graduate waiting for registration

The Registrar/CEO, Ndagi Alhassan, signed the circular on 20th November 2025 and said schools must comply immediately.

If your school is still using the old system, tell them today – delays can affect your indexing and exams!
