The Elegant Nurses Forum has petitioned the Ogun State Police Commissioner to arrest and prosecute Nurse Fagoyinbo Abosede, Head of Nursing Services at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Abeokuta.
The petition accuses her of assaulting Chief Nursing Officer Nurse Odusola Oluwakemi on 15 January 2026.
The incident happened inside the hospital premises.
It started when doctors asked the CNO for water to perform a procedure.
She explained there was no water due to an ongoing strike by non-clinical workers.
The matter reached hospital management.
The Chief Medical Director arranged temporary water supply.
Later, the HNS summoned the CNO.
The forum alleges the HNS charged at her and pushed her.
The CNO fell, lost consciousness and bled from her mouth, nose and ears.
She was rushed to the staff clinic, treated and discharged with rest advice.
During sick leave, the HNS allegedly continued threats and harassment.
This caused a relapse with more bleeding.
The forum cited Criminal Code Act offences: assault occasioning harm, grievous harm, attempted murder and criminal intimidation.
The petition was signed by Nurse Thomas Abiodun Olamide.
The forum said the act was inhumane and unprofessional.
It reported nurses at FMC Abeokuta alleging a pattern of intimidation, abuse of power, extortion, unexplained salary deductions and punitive transfers under the HNS.
The forum demanded arrest, investigation, prosecution and protection for the victim and witnesses.
No response has been received from FMC Abeokuta or police at the time of this report.
