In a major boost for Nigeria’s healthcare sector, the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Ikole-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has launched a comprehensive recruitment campaign for over 25 positions, focusing heavily on medical, clinical, and allied health roles. This comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen federal health facilities in the Southwest region.

Announced just yesterday (November 19, 2025), the vacancies target qualified professionals ready to contribute to high-quality patient care. With the application window closing in less than two weeks, this is a golden opportunity for nurses and other healthcare workers seeking stable federal employment.

HIGHLIGHTED HEALTHCARE POSITIONS (Medical & Clinical Focus)

Nursing & Midwifery

• Senior Nursing Officer (CONHESS 09): BNSc/B.Sc in Nursing, current NMCN practicing license, completed internship, NYSC discharge/exemption.

• Nursing Officer II (CONHESS 07): NRN + additional post-basic nursing registration, current NMCN license.

Medical Doctors

• Consultants (CONMESS 05): Specialties include Cardiologist, General Surgeon, Gastroenterologist, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Family Physician. Requires MBBS, relevant Fellowship (National Postgraduate Medical College or West African College), full MDCN registration, current license, NYSC.

• Medical Officer II (CONMESS 03): MBBS, full MDCN registration, current license, NYSC.

Pharmacy & Allied Health

• Pharmacist (CONHESS 09): B.Pharm degree, internship completion, Pharmacy Council registration, current license, NYSC.

• Physiotherapist (CONHESS 09): B.Sc Physiotherapy, MRBT license, NYSC.

• Clinical Psychologist II (CONHESS 09): B.Sc Psychology + MSc Clinical Psychology, NYSC.

• Radiographer/Imaging Scientist (CONHESS 09): B.Sc Radiography, RRBN registration, current license, NYSC.

• Dental Therapist (CONHESS 07): HND Dental Hygiene, practicing license, NYSC.

• Dental Technologist (CONHESS 07): B.Sc Dental Technology, practicing license, NYSC.

• Medical Social Welfare Officer II (CONHESS 07): Degree in Social Work or related, NYSC.

Technicians & Assistants (CONHESS 03–06)

Orthopaedic/Plastic Technician, Pharmacy Technician, X-Ray Technician, Anaesthetic Technician, Laboratory Technician, Mortuary Technician, Health Assistant.

Requirements vary: Typically 2–3 year diplomas from approved health institutions, relevant licenses where applicable.

Additional vacancies in Works/Services (e.g., Engineers, Drivers) and Administration/Accounts (e.g., Accountants, Admin Officers) are also available for support roles.

  2. Complete seven (7) copies of the form, attaching all required credentials (certificates, licenses, NYSC).
  3. Mark the envelope with the desired position in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  4. Submit physically or via courier to: The Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, PMB 5011, Ikole-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
