Pilfering is a shameful act, EKSUTH staff tells management* In what looks like a replica of the good old days when labour unions aren’t afraid to stamp there feet down and dat is there’s. The members of staff of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) under the umbrella of Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) files out in their numbers today as they ground activities of the institution for close to 6 hours, the protest which resulted in the lock of the institution’s main gate and other entrances was a major talking point. The protest, it was gathered happened because of the shameful pilfering act of the institution’s management in which the cooperative deductions of JOHESU members were not remitted for complete 6 months. This disgraceful and dishonorable acts were perpetrated by the past leadership of the institution under the leadership of Dr. Kolawole Ogundipe. The members voiced there displeasure and demanded unequivocally that there unremitted deductions must be remitted forthwith and with immediate alacrity as they won’t tolerate this anymore.
