
Position: Content Creator / Social Media Manager

Fellow Nurses Africa is seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team as Content Creator and Social Media Manager. In this full-time role, you will serve as the voice of nursing advocacy and empowerment across the continent, curating, creating, and managing high-quality content focused on nursing, healthcare, and professional development in Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, develop, and publish engaging, informative, and timely content across all digital platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and emerging channels.
- Monitor and report on breaking news, emerging nursing trends, policy developments, and relevant discussions within the African healthcare landscape, ensuring rapid and accurate dissemination.
- Foster meaningful audience interaction, community building, and growth through strategic content planning, audience engagement tactics, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to align content with organisational goals, promoting professionalism, patient-centered care, and the empowerment of nurses and healthcare professionals.
- Uphold the highest standards of accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and ethical communication in all outputs.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- A strong passion for nursing advocacy, professional empowerment, and advancing healthcare equity across Africa.
- Proven experience in content creation, social media management, digital storytelling, or a closely related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Highly proactive and responsive, with a commitment to maintaining a strong online presence and addressing real-time opportunities and issues.
- Alignment with Fellow Nurses Africa’s core values: patient-centered advocacy, professionalism, empowerment of nurses, political awareness in health policy, and holistic well-being through education and community engagement.
- Background as a registered nurse, nursing student, or healthcare professional is highly desirable and considered a distinct advantage.
