Fellow Nurses Africa (FNA) is a nurse-led non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering African nurses through education, advocacy, professional development, mentorship, global career advancement, and community health initiatives. • Provide professional video coverage and journalistic reports for nursing events, conferences, job fairs, awards, and health outreaches.
  • Create and distribute short-form content (e.g., Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) across platforms.
  • Manage social media channels, content calendar, and weekly email newsletters.
  • Secure sponsorships for podcasts/videos and create impact reports for fundraising.
  • Track analytics and optimize content for engagement and conversions.
  • Collaborate with volunteers/partners and handle additional operational tasks as needed.
  • Ensure content meets international ethical journalism and inclusivity standards.

Travel: Occasional (10–20%) within Nigeria and Africa for event coverage, with a travel bonus provided.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years in digital content creation, podcast/video production, or journalism (health/non-profit preferred).
  • Proven skills in editing (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut), interviewing, storytelling, and social media management.
  • Proficiency in tools like Hootsuite, Canva, WordPress, and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for nursing empowerment, health equity, and Universal Health Coverage.

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree or certifications in digital journalism/podcast production.
  • Experience in global/non-profit communications.
  • Nursing or healthcare background.

Personal Attributes:

  • Mission-driven, resilient, creative, and ethically minded.
  • Culturally sensitive with pan-African and international awareness.
