PATIENT, RELATIVES BEAT NURSE BLUE BLACK IN A PRIVATE HOSPITAL IN LAGOS. A nurse working at the hospital for trauma and surgery, water corporation oniru Lagos has been reportedly beaten by an angry service user and her relatives. Her scrub was torn and visible marks were left on her neck. The reports stated. The service user was said to have been angered when the nurse refused to administer overdose of analgesics to her.
The incident was reported to the management but they requested that the nurse “apologize to the patient for peace to reign” despite several threats from the patient’s relatives to the nurse. When contacted by Fellow Nurses Africa, the said nurse has refused to comment on the incident.
