Nigerian Nurse Abandons 400-Level Nursing for Ushering Agency

Lagos, Nigeria – A Nigerian woman, known as B Luxe Ushers, has sparked controversy after revealing in a viral TikTok video (https://tiktok.com/@bluxeushers/video/ZMSHhwkLs) that she quit her nursing studies at the 400 level to start an ushering agency. The video, posted on June 20, 2025, has garnered significant attention with over 20.7K likes and 540 comments.

Initially, she shared her decision to leave nursing to focus on her new business. However, following pleas from the nursing community to return, she confessed that she dropped out due to failing her exams despite multiple resits. “I wasn’t passing the exam… wrote twice, failed twice, it was best I look for something else to do,” she admitted in a follow-up comment.

The revelation has prompted mixed reactions, with some nurses urging her to complete her education, while others express understanding of her challenges. The nursing community continues to watch her journey closely.

What do you think about this, has she made a right decision?
