There’s been a lot of controversies earlier this morning as the circular advertising  vacancies for eligible interns  at University of Port Harcourt Teaching hospital begins to circulate on various Nursing groups.

The vacancies advertised include Pharmacist interns, Medical lab scientists , Physiotherapist, dental therapist, dental technologist and optometrist interns but Nurses was yet missing.

Have a look at the circular below:

One of the Unionists on the Men In Nursing Assembly Of Nigeria  whatsApp page claimed to have put a call through to the NANNM chairman, Rivers State Chapter, hear him :

” THE MATTER HAS NOW BEEN REPORTED TO RIVERS STATE NANNM CHAIRMAN OFFICIALLY BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE UPTH NANNM CHAIRPERSON IS ON SUSPENSION/COMPULSORY RETIREMENT DUE TO ADMINISTRATIVE ENCUMBRANCES RELATED TO UNION ACTIVITIES.

RIVERS STATE NANNM WILL BE WRITTEN OFFICIALLY WITHIN 24HRS TO THE MANAGEMENT OF UPTH TO INCLUDE NURSING INTERNS WHILE QUALIFIED INTERNS SHOULD COME TOGETHER AND RAISE A PROTEST LETTER REFERENCING RELEVANT CIRCULAR OF APPROVAL OF NURSING INTERNSHIP.”

Recall that few weeks ago, The National Hospital Igbobi released a circular advertising vacancies for eligible candidates and  Nurses ware wrongly placed on CONHESS 7 as against the approval. of the National Council On Establishment ( NCE ) at it 39th meeting held in Minna , Niger State in July 2016.
